21 September 2026 - For this year’s Brigada Eskwela Program, the San Pablo City Water District (SPCWD), in partnership with the DepEd Schools Division of San Pablo, provided free bacteriological water quality testing to 81 public schools across the city.

The initiative highlights the importance of safe and reliable water in creating healthy school environments. Through water quality testing, SPCWD helps schools assess the quality of the water used for drinking, handwashing, sanitation, cleaning, and other daily activities.

The results brought good news to the school community: all 81 participating schools passed the water quality testing. Water samples collected from all schools met the required standards, providing assurance that the water tested is safe for the daily needs of their respective school communities.

More than a water quality check, the initiative reflects the shared responsibility of SPCWD and DepEd San Pablo in promoting health, hygiene, and water safety in schools. Safe water supports not only the daily needs of learners and school personnel but also contributes to a learning environment where children can stay healthy and focus on their education.

The initiative also strengthens the partnership between SPCWD and DepEd San Pablo in bringing greater awareness of water safety to the school community. Through continued collaboration, both institutions can help learners and school personnel better understand the importance of proper hygiene, sanitation, responsible water use, and the protection and conservation of water resources.
